SEA TADPOLE also achieves spectral super-resolution, which you can read about in our 2006 paper.

Since SEA TADPOLE uses a fiber as its input, it also has spatial resolution!  Scanning it around in space, we can also use it to measure the complete spatio-temporal intensity and phase of an arbirary pulse--even a tightly focused one!  On the Home page, you saw some examples of SEA TADPOLE's measurements. Ahead additional slides will show more examples, in greater detail, of this nice capability.

But first we'll show you how we can extend SEA TADPOLE to the measurement of extremely complex pulses in time.
