SEA and MUD TADPOLE have submicron spatial resolution, but are multi-shot (they average over many pulses and so require a stable train of pulses). For complete single-shot spatio-temporal pulse measurement, use STRIPED FISH, which is based on holography.
But ultrashort pulses have broad spectra, so we must make many holograms simultaneously, one for each frequency present in the pulse. How can we do this in a simple and elegant manner?
